    Product Introduction

The WENK Pneumatic C-Type Multi-Line Self-Locking Connector (SMY Series) is an innovative pneumatic connection solution designed for simultaneous connection of multiple air circuits. This series features an integrated design with 2 or 3 outlet configurations and precision-machined female threaded connections (available in G-type or NPT standards), enabling efficient multi-line connections in industrial pneumatic systems.

The female threaded ports feature precision machining to ensure tight sealing with mating male threaded components, effectively preventing leaks. Equipped with a reliable self-locking mechanism, it ensures secure branch line connections and prevents accidental disconnection even under vibration. The zinc alloy construction with corrosion-resistant plating provides durability and long service life in demanding environments.

    Installation Steps

    1. Preparation

      • Ensure the air supply is turned off and the pipeline is depressurized
      • Clean the connector and pipe interfaces, ensuring no dust, oil, or debris
      • Check that the O-rings are intact and undamaged
      • Verify that the thread specification (G-type or NPT) matches the mating component
    2. Main Connector Installation

      • Select the appropriate 2-port or 3-port connector based on system requirements
      • Inspect the female threaded port for damage or contamination
      • For G-type threads, PTFE tape or thread sealant can be used to enhance sealing (wrap PTFE tape in the opposite direction of thread rotation, 2-3 wraps only)
      • For NPT threads, thread sealant (such as Loctite 577) is recommended; PTFE tape is not recommended
      • Align the female threaded end of the connector with the male threads of the air supply pipe, ensuring coaxial alignment
      • Hand-tighten the connector until the threads are fully engaged (typically 3-5 full rotations)
      • If using tools, apply moderate torque (generally 15-25 N·m) to avoid damaging the threads
      • Check for leaks at the threaded connection and tighten slightly if necessary
    3. Branch Line Connection

      • Verify that the branch line connectors match the main connector specifications
      • Insert the branch line into the outlet port of the main connector until a clear "click" is heard
      • Gently pull the branch line to confirm a secure connection
    4. System Inspection

      • Turn on the air supply and check all connections for leaks
      • Verify that the pressure in each line is normal
      • Test the self-locking function to ensure no accidental disconnection under tension

    Usage Instructions

    1. Connection Operation

      • Ensure all connectors and pipes are clean and undamaged
      • Insert the branch line directly into the outlet port of the main connector until a "click" is heard
      • Test the connection by gently pulling after assembly
    2. Disconnection Operation

      • Turn off the air supply and release pressure from the system
      • Press the unlock button on the branch line connector
      • Maintain the unlocked state while pulling the branch line out smoothly
    3. Daily Usage Notes

      • Avoid excessive bending or twisting of the connected pipes
      • Regularly inspect the connectors and pipes for wear or damage
      • Keep the connectors clean to prevent debris from entering the pneumatic system
      • Never attempt to disconnect under pressure

    Troubleshooting

    1. Air Leakage

      • Check if the O-rings are damaged and replace if necessary
      • Verify that connections are fully seated and reconnect if needed
      • Inspect the pipes for cracks or damage
    2. Difficulty Connecting or Disconnecting

      • Check if the locking mechanism is blocked by debris, clean and retry
      • Confirm that connector specifications match
      • Inspect for any deformation or damage to components
    3. Insufficient Pressure

      • Check if the system pressure is normal
      • Verify all connections are secure and free from leaks
      • Inspect the air path for blockages

    Maintenance

    1. Regular Inspection

      • Check O-ring condition weekly
      • Inspect the locking mechanism monthly for flexibility
      • Check the tightness of threaded connections monthly and retighten if loose
      • Perform a comprehensive inspection and cleaning quarterly
    2. Cleaning Method

      • Wipe the connector surfaces with a clean cloth
      • For threaded ports, use a soft brush to remove residual sealant or debris
      • For stubborn stains, use a neutral cleaning agent
      • Ensure the connector is completely dry before use after cleaning
    3. Storage Recommendations

      • Store connectors in a dry, clean environment when not in use for an extended period
      • Use dust caps to protect both threaded ports and quick-connect interfaces
      • Avoid direct sunlight and high-temperature environments
      • Apply a small amount of anti-rust oil to threaded ports to prevent corrosion

    Safety Precautions

    1. Ensure connector specifications match system requirements before use
    2. Do not exceed the maximum working pressure of the connector
    3. Ensure the system is depressurized before connecting or disconnecting
    4. Regularly inspect connector condition and replace immediately if damaged
    5. Avoid using the connector with non-specified media
    6. Avoid over-tightening threaded connections to prevent damage to threads or sealing surfaces
    7. When disassembling threaded connections, use appropriate lubricant if stuck; do not force disassembly
