The CJ1 Mini Cylinder by WENK Pneumatic is an ultra-compact brass pneumatic actuator designed specifically for applications with limited space requiring precise motion control. Manufactured with high-quality brass, this product offers excellent durability and reliability, making it suitable for medical equipment, food processing, laboratory instruments, and other precision devices.
Key Features:
- Brass cylinder body and piston rod for good durability
- Available in both single-acting (spring return) and double-acting configurations
- Bore sizes: 2.5mm, 4mm
- Stroke range: 5mm-20mm (2.5mm bore only offers 5mm, 10mm strokes)
- Side pipe joint piping direction adjustable within ±90° range
- Compact structure, small size, lightweight
- Non-lube design suitable for clean environments
- Excellent high-frequency operation performance

2. Working Principle
Single-Acting Cylinder (Spring Return):
-
Extension Process: Compressed air enters the cylinder, pushing the piston and piston rod outward
-
Retraction Process: Air is exhausted from the cylinder, and the piston and piston rod automatically retract by spring force
Double-Acting Cylinder:
-
Extension Process: Compressed air enters the rodless chamber of the cylinder, pushing the piston and piston rod outward
-
Retraction Process: Compressed air enters the rod chamber of the cylinder, pushing the piston and piston rod inward
Key Operating Parameters:
- Working medium: Clean compressed air (40μm filtration recommended)
- Working pressure range:
- Single-acting: 0.1-0.7MPa
- Double-acting: 0.2-0.7MPa
- Operating temperature range: -10-70℃ (no freezing)
- Piston speed range: 50-500mm/s
- Proof pressure: 1.05MPa
- Single-acting: 0.1-0.7MPa
- Double-acting: 0.2-0.7MPa

3. Installation and Connection
Installation Preparation:
- Confirm that the installation environment meets temperature requirements
- Prepare necessary installation tools and accessories
- Check that the cylinder exterior is intact without damage or deformation
Installation Steps:
-
Select Installation Location:
- Ensure there is sufficient space for the cylinder to fully extend and retract
- Avoid installation in high-temperature, strong magnetic field, or highly corrosive environments
- Ensure the mounting surface is flat and clean
-
Secure the Cylinder:
- Use appropriate bolts to fix the cylinder
- Avoid over-tightening which may cause cylinder body deformation
- Ensure the cylinder is securely mounted without looseness
-
Air Pipe Connection:
- Confirm air source pressure is within the specified range
- Use air pipes with outer diameter 4mm and inner diameter 2.5mm
- Adjust side pipe joint direction as needed (within ±90° range)
- Ensure air pipe connections are secure and leak-free
-
Piping Precautions:
- Thoroughly clean the inside of air pipes before piping to prevent impurities from entering the cylinder
- Pipe length should be appropriate, avoiding excessive bending or stretching
- It is recommended to install filters and pressure regulators before the air inlet

4. Operating Instructions
Initial Use:
- Slowly increase air pressure to working pressure, observe if the cylinder moves smoothly
- Test piston rod extension and retraction movements, confirm no abnormal noise or jamming
- Check if pipe connections are secure and leak-free
Daily Operation:
-
Pressure Adjustment:
- Adjust working pressure according to load size
- Use lower pressure for light loads, higher pressure for heavy loads
- Maximum pressure not exceeding 0.7MPa
- Regularly check if pressure is stable
-
Speed Control:
- Control piston speed by adjusting flow control valves
- Recommended speed range: 50-500mm/s
- Avoid excessive speed which may cause impact and vibration
- Avoid too slow speed which may cause crawling phenomenon
-
Maintenance:
- Regularly check if air pipe connections are secure and free from leaks
- Keep the cylinder surface clean, prevent dust and impurities from entering
- Check if piston rod surface is damaged, replace if necessary
- If not in use for a long period, release air pressure and keep piston rod in retracted state
