    2. Working Principle

The CY1B/CY3B(RMS) magnetically coupled rodless cylinder operates based on the following principle:

    1. Magnetic coupling system: A set of high-strength permanent magnetic rings is installed on the piston, and another set is mounted inside the external slider
    2. Magnetic force transmission: The two sets of magnetic rings have opposite polarities, creating a strong attractive force through the thin-walled cylinder tube
    3. Pneumatic actuation: When compressed air pushes the piston to move within the cylinder tube, the magnetic force drives the external slider to move synchronously
    4. Synchronous movement: The attractive force between the internal and external magnetic rings ensures synchronized movement of the piston and slider

Note: The thrust of the cylinder piston must match the attractive force of the magnetic rings to prevent decoupling (known as "magnetic decoupling") caused by excessive air pressure or load.

    3. Installation Procedure

    3.1 Pre-installation Preparation

    1. Verify that the cylinder model and specifications meet the application requirements
    2. Inspect the cylinder for any external damage and ensure all components are present
    3. Prepare necessary installation tools and accessories
    4. Ensure the installation environment is clean to prevent contamination inside the cylinder

    3.2 Installation Process

    1. Determine installation position

      • Identify the correct mounting location according to design requirements
      • Ensure the mounting surface is flat and clean
      • Allow sufficient space for movement to avoid interference
    2. Secure the cylinder

      • Fix the cylinder to the mounting surface using appropriate bolts
      • Bolt specifications: M5-M8 (depending on bore size)
      • Tightening torque: 1.5-5.0N·m (depending on bolt size)
    3. Connect air supply

      • Ensure clean, stable air supply
      • Connect the cylinder ports using suitable air hoses and fittings
      • Install a pressure regulator and filter as recommended
    4. Install magnetic switches (optional)

      • Mount magnetic switches on the cylinder side as required
      • Adjust switch positions to appropriate detection points
      • Connect to control circuit
    5. Install external load

      • Secure the external load to the slider
      • Ensure the load center of gravity aligns with the slider center
      • Avoid eccentric loads that may affect cylinder operation

    3.3 Installation Notes

    • Avoid severe impact and vibration during installation
    • Ensure the cylinder axis aligns with the load movement direction
    • Clean connections before attaching air hoses to prevent contamination
    • Verify all connections are secure after installation
