JGL/ALC Lever Cylinder User Manual

Product Overview
The JGL/ALC series lever cylinder is a pneumatic clamping device that utilizes the lever principle to achieve linear downward clamping. Driven by compressed air, it provides downward clamping and upward releasing actions. This product features a compact design, powerful clamping force, quick response, space-saving, precise positioning, and long durability. It can be regarded as a fixture-type manipulator, widely used in mass production workpiece processing and fixtures, significantly improving the automation level of machining, assembly, welding, and other tooling fixtures.

Installation Steps
-
Pre-installation Preparation
- Confirm that the cylinder model and specifications meet requirements
- Check if the cylinder appearance is intact, no damage or deformation
- Prepare necessary installation tools and accessories, including bolts, nuts, washers, etc.
- Clean the installation surface to ensure no oil, dust, or other impurities
-
Installation Position Selection
- Select appropriate installation position based on actual application requirements
- Ensure no obstacles within the lever swing range after cylinder installation
- The installation surface should be flat to ensure secure cylinder installation and avoid vibration during operation
-
Fixed Installation
- Use appropriate bolts to fix the cylinder on the installation surface
- Bolt tightening torque should be moderate to avoid cylinder deformation due to over-tightening
- Ensure that after installation, the lever movement direction is consistent with the workpiece clamping direction
-
Piping Connection
- Connect the pipeline in the order: air supply → filter → pressure regulator → cylinder
- Use appropriate sealing materials to ensure good sealing of pipe connections
- Clean the pipeline before connection to prevent impurities from entering the cylinder
- Pay attention to distinguishing between air inlet and exhaust port to ensure correct connection
-
Magnetic Switch Installation (JGL model only)
- Install the magnetic switch in the preset channel of the cylinder
- Adjust the position of the magnetic switch as needed to detect the cylinder's working status
- Connect the signal wire of the magnetic switch to ensure correct connection with the control system

Operation Guide
-
Pre-start Check
- Confirm that the air supply pressure is within the specified range (0.1-1.0MPa)
- Check if the pipeline connections are correct and free of leaks
- Ensure no obstacles within the cylinder's movement range
- Check if the magnetic switch (if installed) is working properly
-
Test Run
- Slowly open the air supply valve to allow the cylinder to run without load
- Observe if the cylinder operates smoothly without abnormal noise
- Check if the clamping and releasing actions are normal and if the clamping force meets requirements
- Test if the magnetic switch (if installed) can accurately detect the cylinder position
-
Load Operation
- After confirming normal no-load operation, load operation can be performed
- Gradually increase the workpiece load and observe the cylinder working status
- Adjust the working pressure to obtain the best clamping effect
- Ensure no abnormal vibration or noise during cylinder operation
-
Parameter Adjustment
- Adjust the working pressure according to actual needs to control the clamping force
- Adjust the magnetic switch position to achieve precise position control
- If necessary, adjust the buffer device to optimize the cylinder's movement characteristics

Precautions
-
Safety Precautions
- Always cut off the air supply before installation and maintenance
- Avoid using the cylinder beyond the rated pressure
- Never place hands or other body parts within the cylinder's movement range
- Ensure good ventilation in the working environment to avoid accumulation of oil mist in compressed air
-
Usage Limitations
- Avoid use in corrosive environments unless special materials are selected
- Do not use beyond the specified temperature range
- Avoid excessive lateral loads to prevent affecting cylinder life
- Do not use the cylinder for working conditions exceeding its rated load
-
Special Environment Handling
- In environments with high humidity, dust, water droplets, oil dust, or welding slag, necessary protective measures should be taken
- In low-temperature environments, anti-freezing measures should be taken to prevent water in the system from freezing
- In high-temperature environments, attention should be paid to heat dissipation to avoid cylinder overheating
