KTU Series Ferrule Double-Ended Straight Fitting User Guide

Product Introduction
The KTU Series Ferrule Double-Ended Straight Fitting is a high-quality brass compression double-ended straight fitting manufactured by WENK Pneumatic, specifically designed for scenarios requiring connection or extension of pipelines in pneumatic and fluid systems. This fitting adopts precision-machined ferrule compression mechanisms on both ends to ensure secure, leak-proof connections in various application environments.
Suitable for copper pipes, aluminum pipes, and various plastic pipes, it has a working pressure of up to 1.0MPa and a working temperature range of 0°C to 80°C. The product comes in a complete range of specifications, including 04, 06, 08, 10, 12 and other sizes, to meet different pipe diameters and system requirements.

Installation Steps
-
Preparation
- Ensure the selected fitting size matches the pipe specifications
- Prepare necessary tools: adjustable wrench, file
-
Pipe Preparation
- Cut the pipe to the required length, ensuring a flat cut
- Use a file to remove burrs from the inner and outer pipe ends, ensuring smooth pipe openings
- Check and ensure the pipe has good roundness
-
Assembly Process
- Slide the nuts and ferrules onto the corresponding pipes in sequence
- Note: Ensure the nuts and ferrules are in the correct direction, do not reverse them
- Insert the pipes into the cone holes of the fitting body until they reach the stop
-
Tightening and Fixing
- Secure the fitting body with an adjustable wrench
- Use another wrench to tighten one end nut while rotating the pipe until it cannot rotate
- Continue tightening the nut by 1/2 turn to ensure a secure seal
- Repeat the above steps to tighten the nut on the other end
-
Connection Completion
- Check if all connection parts are secure
- Conduct a pressure test to confirm no leakage

Usage Precautions
-
Applicable Media
- Suitable for compressed air, water, and non-corrosive fluids
- Avoid use with strong acids, alkalis, or other corrosive media
-
Installation Environment
- Avoid installation in high-temperature, high-humidity, or strongly vibrating environments
- Ensure sufficient installation space for maintenance and inspection
-
Usage Limitations
- Do not exceed the maximum working pressure of 1.0MPa
- Avoid temperature beyond the range of 0°C to 80°C
- Prohibited for use in flammable and explosive environments unless specially treated
-
Maintenance
- Regularly check connection parts for signs of leakage
- Tighten nuts promptly if looseness is detected
- When replacement is needed after long-term use, it is recommended to replace the ferrules simultaneously

Troubleshooting
-
Leakage Issues
- Check if the pipe cut is flat and free of burrs
- Confirm if the pipe is fully inserted into the fitting body
- Retighten the nut, replace the ferrule if necessary
-
Loose Connections
- Check if the correct size of fitting and pipe is used
- Confirm if the installation process followed the specified steps
- If the problem persists, replace with new ferrules and nuts
-
Pipe Damage
- Check if the pipe has cracks or signs of aging
- Confirm if the pipe material is suitable for the current working environment
- Replace damaged pipes and reinstall the fitting
