    2. Working Principle

The LF Series Air Filter adopts a multi-stage separation principle, with the main working process as follows:

    1. Centrifugal separation stage:

      • After entering the filter, compressed air generates high-speed rotation through specially designed guide vanes
      • Centrifugal force throws larger water droplets, oil droplets, and solid particles toward the inner wall of the bowl
      • These contaminants settle to the bottom of the bowl under the action of gravity
    2. Mechanical filtration stage:

      • Compressed air after preliminary centrifugal separation passes through high-precision filter elements
      • The filter element adopts a pleated design, providing a larger filtration area
      • Effectively captures tiny solid particles and oil mist with filtration efficiency up to 99%
    3. Coalescence stage:

      • Tiny water droplets and oil droplets coalesce on the filter element surface to form larger droplets
      • These droplets fall to the bottom of the bowl under gravity
      • Regularly discharged through the drainage device
    4. Drainage process:

      • Manual drain: Manually discharge accumulated condensate by pressing the drain button
      • Automatic drain: When the water level reaches a certain height, the float-type drain automatically opens for drainage

    3. Installation Guide

    Pre-installation Preparation

    1. Check if the product is damaged during transportation
    2. Confirm that the interface size matches the system
    3. Clean the connection ports to avoid impurity entry
    4. Select a suitable installation location for easy operation and maintenance

    Installation Steps

    1. Install correctly according to the air flow direction (arrow mark on the product)
      • Inlet → Filter → Outlet
    2. Wrap threads with appropriate sealing material (such as PTFE tape)
    3. Tighten with appropriate tools, avoiding over-tightening that may damage threads
    4. Installation position requirements:
      • It is recommended to install near the air tank outlet, no more than 1.5 meters away
      • Ensure the bowl is vertically downward for easy drainage
      • Avoid installation in high-temperature, high-vibration locations
      • Ensure the installation environment meets temperature requirements (-5~60℃)

    Installation Notes

    1. System pressure must not exceed the maximum working pressure
    2. For high-precision applications, it is recommended to add a fine filter after the main filter
    3. Sufficient space should be reserved during installation for maintenance and inspection
    4. Ensure the filter drain port faces downward for easy drainage
    5. For automatic drain type filters, reserved space for drain pipe connection is required

    4. Operating Instructions

    Drainage Operation

    1. Manual drain type:

      • Regularly press the drain button at the bottom of the filter to discharge condensate
      • It is recommended to drain at least once a day, with specific frequency depending on the humidity of the use environment
      • No need to shut off the air supply during drainage, can be performed while the system is running
    2. Automatic drain type:

      • When the water level in the bowl reaches the set height, the automatic drain will automatically discharge water
      • Regularly check if the automatic drain is working properly
      • If the automatic drain is found to be faulty, the manual drain function can be used temporarily

    Filter Element Replacement

    1. Close the air supply upstream of the filter and release system pressure
    2. Rotate the bowl counterclockwise to remove it from the valve body
    3. Take out the old filter element and wipe the inside of the bowl with a clean cloth
    4. Install the new filter element, ensuring it is correctly positioned
    5. Reinstall the bowl and tighten clockwise
    6. Open the air supply and check for leaks

    Daily Maintenance

    1. Regularly check the accumulation of contaminants in the bowl
    2. Observe the pressure difference between the inlet and outlet of the filter, replace the filter element when the pressure difference exceeds 0.1MPa
    3. Check if the seals are intact, replace them in time if damaged
    4. Keep the bowl clean and avoid direct sunlight
    5. When not in use for a long time, drain the compressed air and condensate from the filter

    Maintenance Cycle Recommendations

    • Daily inspection: Check the accumulation of contaminants in the bowl every day
    • Drainage operation: At least once a day (manual drain type)
    • Pressure difference check: Check once a week
    • Filter element replacement: Generally 3-6 months, depending on the use environment and pressure difference
    • Comprehensive maintenance: Perform a comprehensive inspection and maintenance every 6 months

    1. Excessive pressure loss

      • Check if the filter element is clogged, replace it if necessary
      • Confirm if the filter specifications match the system flow
      • Check if the inlet is blocked by foreign objects
    2. Decreased filtration effectiveness

      • Replace the filter element
      • Check if the filter element is installed correctly
      • Confirm if the filter specifications meet application requirements
    3. Filter leakage

      • Check if the seals are damaged
      • Confirm if the bowl is correctly installed and tightened
      • Check if the valve body has cracks or damage
    4. Automatic drain not working

      • Check if the drain port is blocked
      • Confirm if the float is working normally
      • If the drain is damaged, replace it with a new automatic drain
    5. Bowl rupture

      • Check if the system pressure exceeds the maximum working pressure
      • Avoid direct sunlight and high-temperature environments
      • Regularly check the bowl for cracks or aging phenomena
