    2. Working Principle

The MHZ2 gripper uses compressed air to drive the piston, achieving parallel opening and closing movements of the fingers:

    1. Double-Acting Type:

      • Clamping process: Compressed air enters one chamber of the cylinder, pushing the piston to move, causing the fingers to close parallelly through the transmission mechanism to clamp the workpiece
      • Releasing process: Compressed air enters the other chamber of the cylinder, the piston moves in reverse, and the fingers open parallelly to release the workpiece
    2. Single-Acting Type:

      • Normally Closed (NC): Fingers remain closed when no air pressure is applied, open when compressed air is supplied
      • Normally Open (NO): Fingers remain open when no air pressure is applied, close when compressed air is supplied

    Key Operating Parameters:

    • Working medium: Clean compressed air (40μm filtration recommended)
    • Working pressure range:
      • Double-acting type: 0.15-0.7MPa
      • Single-acting type: 0.3-0.7MPa
    • Operating temperature range: -10-60℃
    • Lubrication: Non-lube
    • Repeatability: ±0.01mm

    3. Installation and Connection

    Installation Preparation:

    1. Confirm that the installation environment meets temperature and humidity requirements
    2. Prepare necessary installation tools and accessories
    3. Check that the gripper exterior is intact without damage or deformation

    Installation Steps:

    1. Select Mounting Method:

      • Front mounting: Mount through the front flange
      • Side mounting: Mount through the side mounting holes
      • Bottom mounting: Mount through the bottom mounting holes
      • Five different mounting configurations are available based on actual needs
    2. Secure the Gripper:

      • Use appropriate bolts (recommended strength grade 8.8 or higher)
      • Ensure the mounting surface is flat and bolt torque meets requirements
      • Avoid over-tightening which may cause cylinder body deformation
    3. Air Pipe Connection:

      • Confirm air source pressure is within the specified range
      • Use appropriate air pipes and fittings to connect to air inlets
      • It is recommended to install filters and pressure regulators before the air inlet
      • Correctly connect air inlet and outlet according to markings on the cylinder body
    4. Magnetic Switch Installation (optional):

      • Install magnetic switches in the reserved mounting slots on the cylinder body
      • Adjust switch position to ensure accurate piston position detection
      • Correctly connect electrical wiring according to switch instructions

    4. Operating Instructions

    Initial Use:

    1. Slowly increase air pressure to working pressure, observe if the gripper moves smoothly
    2. Test finger opening and closing movements, confirm no abnormal noise or jamming
    3. Check if clamping force and repeatability meet working requirements

    Daily Operation:

    1. Workpiece Clamping:

      • Ensure workpiece dimensions are within the gripper's clamping range
      • Adjust workpiece position so that the clamping center aligns with the gripper center
      • Avoid eccentric clamping to prevent workpiece tilting or slipping
      • Select appropriate finger type based on workpiece characteristics
    2. Pressure Adjustment:

      • Adjust working pressure according to workpiece weight and material
      • Use lower pressure for lighter or precision workpieces
      • Use higher pressure for heavier workpieces (not exceeding maximum working pressure)
      • Regularly check if pressure is stable
    3. Maintenance:

      • Regularly check if air pipe connections are secure and free from leaks
      • Keep the gripper surface clean, prevent dust and impurities from entering
      • Check if fingers and guide rails are worn, replace if necessary
      • If not in use for a long period, release air pressure and keep fingers in open position

    Safety Precautions:

    1. Ensure all mounting bolts are securely tightened before operation
    2. Avoid contact with moving parts when the gripper is working
    3. Regularly check clamping status to ensure workpieces won't accidentally fall off
    4. Must cut off air supply during maintenance or adjustment
    5. Do not exceed maximum working pressure to avoid equipment damage
    6. Ensure fingers are correctly fixed during installation to prevent loosening during operation

    5. Troubleshooting

    Common Problems and Solutions:

    1. Gripper Does Not Move

      • Check if air source pressure is normal
      • Confirm if air pipe connections are correct and free from leaks
      • Check if there are foreign objects stuck inside the cylinder
    2. Insufficient Clamping Force

      • Check if working pressure meets requirements
      • Confirm if workpiece weight is within the gripper's rated range
      • Check if piston seals are worn
    3. Fingers Not Moving Parallelly

      • Check if linear guide has foreign objects or damage
      • Confirm if installation is correct and free from tilting
      • Check if transmission mechanism is worn or loose
    4. Decreased Repeatability

      • Check if linear guide is worn
      • Confirm if mounting surface is flat
      • Check if working pressure is stable
    5. Abnormal Noise

      • Check lubrication condition, add lubricating oil if necessary
      • Confirm if installation is secure and free from looseness
      • Check if moving parts are worn or damaged
