WENK Pneumatic Q/P/S Level Series Precision filter

The Q/P/S Precision Filter Series is a high-efficiency compressed air purification system designed to remove contaminants from compressed air. This three-stage filtration system includes Q grade (5μm), P grade (1μm), and S grade (0.01μm) filters, providing progressive purification to meet various industrial requirements.

Constructed with high-quality aluminum alloy housing and imported borosilicate glass fiber filters, these filters offer excellent corrosion resistance and durability. The Q/P/S series effectively removes water, oil mist, and solid particles, achieving oil content as low as 0.01ppm and particle removal efficiency of 99.9%.

With a maximum working pressure of 1.6MPa and temperature range of 5-65°C, these filters are suitable for a wide range of applications including electronics, pharmaceuticals, food processing, and manufacturing. The compact design allows for easy installation and maintenance, ensuring reliable performance and extended service life of downstream equipment.

    Installation Steps

    1. Pre-installation Preparation:

      • Verify that the filter model and specifications meet system requirements
      • Inspect the filter for any damage or defects
      • Prepare necessary installation tools and sealing materials
    2. Installation Location:

      • Install after the air compressor and refrigerated dryer, before pneumatic equipment
      • Ensure good ventilation and easy access for operation and maintenance
      • Leave sufficient space for filter element replacement
    3. Installation Sequence:

      • Install in the order of Q grade → P grade → S grade
      • Ensure correct flow direction (follow arrow indicator on housing)
      • Install vertically with drain port facing downward
    4. Piping Connection:

      • Use appropriate sealing material (e.g., PTFE tape) on threads
      • Ensure secure connections without leakage
      • Install pressure gauges to monitor pressure before and after the filter

    Operation Guide

    1. Start-up Procedure:

      • Slowly open the inlet valve to allow compressed air to gradually enter the filter
      • Open the exhaust valve to release air from the filter
      • Observe pressure gauges and open the outlet valve only after pressure stabilizes
    2. Normal Operation:

      • Monitor pressure differential across the filter; normal operation differential should be less than 0.05MPa
      • Regularly check the drainage system to ensure proper operation
      • Record operating parameters including pressure, temperature, and pressure differential
    3. Shutdown Procedure:

      • First close the inlet valve, then the outlet valve
      • Open the exhaust and drain valves to release pressure and accumulated water
      • For long-term shutdown, it is recommended to remove and properly store filter elements

    Maintenance

    1. Filter Element Replacement:

      • Replace filter elements when pressure differential reaches 0.07MPa
      • Q grade elements: recommended replacement every 3-6 months
      • P and S grade elements: recommended replacement every 6-12 months
      • When replacing elements, first relieve pressure, then open the filter cover, remove old elements, and install new ones
    2. Daily Maintenance:

      • Check filter operation status daily, including pressure, temperature, and differential pressure
      • Inspect drainage system weekly to ensure proper operation
      • Clean the exterior of the filter monthly to remove dust and oil
    3. Regular Inspection:

      • Inspect the filter housing quarterly for damage or corrosion
      • Check seals semi-annually for signs of aging and replace if necessary
      • Perform a comprehensive inspection and maintenance annually

    Precautions

    1. Safety Warnings:

      • Always shut off air supply and relieve pressure before installation and maintenance
      • Do not exceed maximum operating pressure and temperature
      • Wear appropriate protective equipment when replacing filter elements
    2. Usage Limitations:

      • For compressed air filtration only; not suitable for other gases
      • Do not filter compressed air containing corrosive or flammable gases
      • Do not use in environments with severe vibration or impact
    3. Troubleshooting:

      • If pressure differential suddenly increases, filter element may be clogged and should be replaced
      • If leakage occurs, check connections for tightness and inspect seals for damage
      • If filtration efficiency decreases, check for damaged elements or improper installation

    Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What causes increased pressure differential across the filter? A: The primary cause is filter element clogging, requiring timely replacement. Additionally, it may be caused by excessive flow rate or high inlet pressure.

Q: How to determine if filter elements need replacement? A: Replace elements when the pressure differential reaches 0.07MPa, or according to service time (Q grade: 3-6 months, P and S grades: 6-12 months).

Q: Why is there no water discharge from the drain port? A: The drain valve may be clogged or damaged. Inspect and clean the drain valve, replacing if necessary.

Q: Why is there still oil mist in the filtered air? A: The filter element may be damaged or improperly installed. Inspect the element condition, replace if necessary, and ensure proper installation.
