SRC/ACK Series Rotary Clamp Cylinder User Guide

Product Overview
The SRC/ACK series rotary clamp cylinder from WENK Pneumatic is a versatile pneumatic actuator designed for precision clamping and positioning applications in automated systems. This series combines rotational and linear motion to provide efficient workpiece clamping, featuring 90° or 180° rotation angles and vertical stroke movement.
The SRC/ACK series utilizes a double-acting design with bore sizes ranging from 25mm to 63mm, meeting various clamping force and installation space requirements. Constructed with high-quality aluminum alloy, these cylinders offer strength while maintaining lightweight properties. Widely used in CNC machines, assembly lines, and automated production equipment, they excel in applications requiring quick clamping and release cycles.
This series provides both left (L) and right (R) rotation options for flexible configuration based on specific application needs. The compact design saves valuable space while delivering powerful clamping force, making it an essential component in modern manufacturing environments.

Operation Guide
-
Pre-start Check
- Verify that the air supply pressure is within the specified range
- Check that piping connections are correct
- Ensure the operating environment temperature is within the allowable range
- Verify that the cylinder is securely installed
- Ensure no obstacles within the rotation range
-
Basic Operation
- Clamping Action:
- Compressed air enters from one port, driving the piston to rotate (90° or 180°)
- After rotating into position, the piston performs a vertical downward movement
- Workpiece clamping is completed
- Unclamping Action:
- Compressed air enters from the other port, driving the piston to rise vertically
- After rising into position, the piston rotates back to its original position
- Workpiece unclamping is completed
-
Pressure Adjustment
- Adjust the operating air pressure based on workpiece material and clamping requirements
- Higher air pressure results in greater clamping force
- Ensure air pressure does not exceed the maximum operating pressure of 1.0MPa
- Select appropriate minimum operating pressure based on bore size
-
Speed Adjustment
- Adjust cylinder operating speed using speed controllers
- Turn the speed controller knob clockwise to decrease speed
- Turn the speed controller knob counterclockwise to increase speed
- Ensure speed is within the range of 30~500mm/s
-
Operational Precautions
- Avoid exceeding the cylinder's maximum clamping force
- Do not suddenly load or unload during cylinder movement
- Avoid lateral loads to prevent affecting cylinder life and performance
- Regularly check that cylinder movement is smooth and free of abnormal noise
