WPL Series L-Type Two-Way Fitting User Guide

Product Introduction
The WPL Series L-Type Two-Way Fitting is a high-quality 90-degree elbow connector manufactured by WENK Pneumatic, specifically designed for creating right-angle connections in pneumatic and fluid systems. This compact fitting features a push-in design that allows for quick and tool-free installation, making it ideal for applications where space is limited and efficient pipe routing is required.
This product is constructed from premium materials including brass with nickel plating and engineering grade plastics, offering excellent durability and corrosion resistance. Available in various sizes to accommodate tubing diameters from 4mm to 12mm, this versatile fitting provides a secure and leak-free connection for polyurethane, nylon, and other compatible tubing types. The integrated release sleeve ensures easy disconnection when maintenance or reconfiguration is needed.

Installation Guide
Preparation Before Installation
- Confirm that the required fitting specifications match the pipeline system requirements
- Check that the fitting is intact without cracks, deformation, or other defects
- Prepare necessary tools: tube cutter, sandpaper or deburring tool
- Ensure a clean working environment to prevent dust and impurities from entering the pneumatic system
Installation Steps
- Use a tube cutter to cut the tubing to the required length, ensuring the cut is clean and perpendicular
- Use sandpaper or a deburring tool to remove burrs and sharp edges from the inside and outside of the tubing
- Clean the end of the tubing to ensure no dust, grease, or other contaminants
- Insert one end of the tubing into the push-in port of the fitting until you hear a "click" or feel the tubing is fully seated
- Gently pull on the tubing to confirm the connection is secure
- Repeat steps 4-5 for the other end of the tubing
Installation Notes
- Ensure the tubing is cut cleanly and squarely, avoiding angled cuts or burrs that may cause leaks
- Do not use damaged or deformed tubing
- Ensure the tubing is fully inserted into the fitting; incomplete insertion may result in an insecure connection
- Maintain at least 10mm of straight tubing at both ends of the L-type fitting to avoid excessive bending
- Check for leaks after installation; if leaks are detected, reinstall the fitting

Usage Guide
Normal Usage
- Ensure the system pressure does not exceed the maximum working pressure of the fitting
- Regularly check that connections are secure and that tubing shows no signs of wear or aging
- Avoid subjecting the fitting to excessive tensile, bending, or impact loads
- During system operation, observe for any leaks or abnormal noise
Disconnection
- Shut off the air supply and release system pressure
- Press the release sleeve (usually a blue or black ring)
- Gently pull out the tubing while maintaining pressure on the release sleeve
- If the tubing is difficult to remove, slightly rotate the tubing while keeping the release sleeve pressed

Usage Precautions
Safety Precautions
- Ensure you understand the system pressure and medium characteristics before operation
- Wear necessary protective equipment, such as gloves and safety goggles
- Avoid disconnecting under system pressure; always release pressure first
- Regularly check the fitting and tubing for leaks, corrosion, or other abnormal conditions
Maintenance
- Regularly inspect the fitting appearance; replace promptly if there are cracks, deformation, or other abnormalities
- Keep the fitting clean, especially the push-in part and release sleeve
- Avoid contact with corrosive substances or exposure to extreme temperature environments
- For systems not in use for long periods, it is recommended to operate the fittings periodically to prevent internal components from sticking
- If leaks are detected, replace the fitting or tubing promptly

Troubleshooting
Common Problems and Solutions
-
Connection Leakage
- Cause: Unclean or angled tubing cut; incomplete tubing insertion; damaged O-ring
- Solution: Recut the tubing; ensure full insertion; replace the fitting
-
Difficult Tubing Insertion
- Cause: Burrs on tubing end; mismatched tubing size; contaminants inside the fitting
- Solution: Clean the tubing end; use correct size tubing; clean the inside of the fitting
-
Tubing Easily Pulls Out
- Cause: Incomplete tubing insertion; undersized tubing; release sleeve not fully reset
- Solution: Ensure full tubing insertion; use correct size tubing; check if the release sleeve is working properly
-
Fitting Breakage or Damage
- Cause: Excessive tubing bending; system pressure too high; fitting aging
- Solution: Avoid excessive tubing bending; ensure system pressure is within specified range; replace damaged fitting
